Can Do is a collection of small steps everyone can take to enact positive change in the environment. It is based on the belief that a community of people interested in taking some of these steps together can be a powerful motivating tool, and empower us with the knowledge of our collective impact.
I developed the concept of Can Do in conjunction with a class called Zones of Emergency: Participatory Networks in the Spring of 2008, which was meant to explore the way online social networks can react to real-life situations. The course was taught in sister sections at both MIT and RISD.
My fully-functional site is still a work in progress, but you can wander through the working demo, or read the process documentation.
