I had my art class last night down in Old Town.. I had a really great time! First, I have to mention that I left work with exactly enough time to stop off at the Chicken Out on Washington Blvd and pick up some soup and a glass of milk before heading to my class. So I was well-fed and energized by the time I started the class. The only negative of the night was that I got this flimsy aluminium easel that kept tipping over when I pressed too hard with my conte crayon, so I couldn't really draw with the strong lines that I normally use.. I guess you can't do better than the old, ten ton wooden easels that artists have been using for centuries! :)

The class built on the ideas of perspective from the last class, but applied it in a more realistic way to still life scenes of sculptures, busts, and fruit. I had a blast! I got to work on more organic shapes and arrangements, which suits my style more than precise drawings of cubes and cones. At my mom's request, I might post some of my drawings for any and all to see. :)
