Art class!
As always, last night's art class was a blast.. it was the second life drawing session of the class, and this time we focused on capturing movement and applying the ideas of proportion to the human frame. We also got the chance to draw some longer poses (relatively long - 10 minutes was the max), as well as some hyper-short ones (15-30 seconds each). It was a challenge to capture a figure in such a short amount of time, so you really had to boil it down to a few short lines taht were supposed to portray a whole body. Very stimulating! :)

There are only three classes left in this session. Although I really liked drawing, I went ahead and registered for a silversmithing class for the spring session, with the help of my gift certificate from Adam! :) The class will run for 9 weeks starting in April, and I'll be using silver sheet and wire and various hand tools to create jewelry, boxes, etc. I even get to learn how to solder and do simple stone-setting! The only down side is that the first class of the session conflicts with the David LaMotte concert I've been wanting to go to.. :( Still working on a plan to be able to do both..

Ah, well. Back to work!
